The day we arrived to the Eiffel Tower was R's real birthday date. Miserable it wasn't her birthday, J threw fit after fit while we were trying to sightsee. While walking through train stations we would just look at each other baffled as she stands a few feet behind us with arms crossed saying she's not coming. We kept asking, "What is her problem?" Later on in the day we finally realized she was jealous. We kind of clued in when she asked him what it's like to be 7 years old.
Here the kids are waiting for a train.
Her behavior didn't stop us from ascending the Eiffel Tower to see the Statue of Liberty on the river. That made so many connections in R's little mind as he pictured us on the visa trip seeing Lady Liberty in New York. She's in the middle of the picture by the greenery and road.
The Arch de Triumph from the Eiffel Tower
Finally, a good hair day! Maybe that's why I came home loving Paris!
Lunch in a cute restaurant on the sidewalk! Why do little boys usually come to an age where they need to make goofy eyeball pictures for the camera?

Just to prove we were on the Avenue des Champs Elysees, I took a picture. We found a restaurant on the sidewalk that made the best Greek salad! We actually went back there the next day for another taste since I'm a sucker for Greek salads.
Notre Dame Cathedral from the bus
More from the bus...
Walking along the Avenue, this is a unique display we came across. How did they get that car up there????
The Arch de Triumph below.
Since it was an absolutely beautiful weekend, we took advantage of the sun and stayed outside both days. We took a boat tour one of the days and a bus tour as well. I felt kind of lazy, but the kids had just walked around Disney for 2 days and it was the first time without a stroller...how we've grown up! We still desire to return to Paris later in the year when we can explore more inside museums, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and see the lights at night, but with it not getting dark here until 10:00 PM we couldn't stay awake that long to see anything lit up...especially with J's attitude!
