A must for anyone who comes to visit us is at least driving by to look at the Butte de Lion, the site of the Battle of Waterloo where Napolean Bonapart was defeated, and the French couldn't claim the land. The site is literally a bicycle ride away - we've proved that.
With the sun out, causing the temperature to reach a record high since we've been here (74 degrees!), we climbed the stairs of the monument, watched the movie depicting various scenes of the battle, and toured the wax museum to learn some history.
Can you see our house from here? No, but you can see the bicycle route to our house on the left with all the cars.
My kids loved running around in the sun and picking flowers while we caught our breath!
By the way, with the sun out, and a limited angle to get pictures, a glare was the result. :(
