A Different View of Paris

My parents were elated to have the grandkids together for the holidays to the point that they volunteered to watch all 4 children for 2 days while we escaped for a Paris getaway. I still am amazed they survived with smiling faces since the kids' ages are 6 months, 3 years, 6 years, and 7 and a half years.
Since my sister-in-law enjoys shopping, we checked out what Rick Steves said about shopping in Paris. After our must see tourist attractions were checked off the list, we ventured off the beaten path to find some markets. Rick claimed one close to this location was not high end, but a little more for the adventurous type. We thought this was it...a garage sale on old sheets in the middle of the sidewalk. It was as if people just walked through their house on the way outside, picking up lonely items to sell on their blankets such as a random shoe, a DVD, a computer mouse, a coffee cup, you get the idea. We walked past all of this craziness to find our market, which was about one step up from sheets on the sidewalk, but lots of fun!
